Discover Mayi Moulen ak Legim

Who does not like good food?

Another common dish in Haiti is corn and beans(mayi moulen) with vegetable stew(legim). This could be the best vegetarian option as it does not necessarily require any meat.

This meal is so rich; many people believe that it makes you sweat when eating it. It is always a pleasure to eat mayi moulen ak legim with my family because we always end up taking off our shirts and laugh around the table.

Personally, I do not follow any recipe when cooking. It is all about improvising and creating new flavored meals. For example, a typical Haitian vegetable stew would have cabbage, eggplant, chayote, spinach, crab, and carrots. I made mine with brocolli, cauliflower florets, sliced carrots, zucchini, and yellow squash.

PS: Topping mayi moulen ak legim with avocado is the way to heaven.
