Does culture impact your sense of fashion?

I used to blame my dad for having more clothes and shoes than me. What can I say? He is the one bringing the money home so he must look good all the time.

Born and raised in a culture where most if not all people put so much emphasis on their appearance, I then become more selective about my style.

Fashion is very infectious in Haiti. When a style trends, it can get out of hand because so many people would abuse it that it soon becomes uninteresting. Consequently, people are very selective about their clothes.

We try hard not to look like twin brothers or sisters when it comes to fashion. By spending so much time in the market choosing our attire, we then create our own brand.

In conclusion, I don't think Haitians have a unique style that identifies them other than wearing long jeans under the hot sun.
